Tackling the Issue of underage drinking.

In line with the Outreach and Social Program of the Nicosia Dental Polyclinic, the clinic sponsored the Petrodocs production of the documentary “Empousa” on the issue of social underage alcohol drinking.

Breaking through human mental defenses, consuming blood and flesh, the nature of the ancient Greek demigoddess this documentary is named after, echoes the effects alcohol can have upon people and societies.

Discussing the topic from multiple points of view the film examines our relationship with alcohol and asks if our attitudes towards social drinking must change due to the nature of the modern alcoholic beverage industry.

However, the film is not only about alcohol, you can substitute it with any other addiction and it will have the same impact. It is a film of the modern times and how we all must keep focus on the benefits of living in such an age. While the boons are amazing, we must make sure we control them and not the other way around.
